End User License Agreement

The licence under which you may use the Lock Wheel VPN apps.

Last updated: October 15, 2026

This End User License Agreement (the "EULA") is an agreement between you and EVRIUS s.r.o., Kaprova 42/14, 110 00 Praha 1 – Staré Město, Czech Republic ("we", "us", "our"). It covers the Lock Wheel VPN software for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, including its installers, system services, drivers and extensions, updates, and accompanying documentation (the "App").

By installing or using the App, you agree to this EULA. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App. Your use of the Lock Wheel VPN VPN service, including subscriptions, is governed by our Terms of Use at https://lock-wheel-vpn.com/terms (the "Terms"), and our processing of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy at https://lock-wheel-vpn.com/privacy. If this EULA and the Terms conflict on a matter concerning the App as software, this EULA prevails.

1. Licence

The App is licensed to you, not sold. Subject to this EULA, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to:

  • download, install and use the App in object code form on devices that you own or control, for your personal use or for use within your own household or business, and only to access the VPN service;
  • use Premium features only on as many devices at the same time as your subscription allows (5, unless your plan states otherwise);
  • make one backup copy of the installer, where this is necessary for your lawful use of the App.

Download the App only from the Website or from an official app store where we publish it. We cannot vouch for copies from any other source, as they may have been tampered with.

2. Restrictions

Except as expressly permitted by this EULA, by an open-source licence that applies to a component (section 4), or by mandatory law (section 3), you must not:

  • copy, modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the App;
  • decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer the App, or try to extract its source code, cryptographic keys or connection credentials;
  • rent, lease, lend, sell, sublicense, distribute or otherwise make the App available to third parties, including as a hosted or managed service;
  • remove, alter or hide any copyright, trademark or licence notices;
  • bypass or interfere with the App's licensing, device limit, update or security mechanisms, or use the App to access our VPN service in any way other than through its normal interface;
  • use the App to breach the Terms (including their acceptable use rules) or any law;
  • use the App to build a competing product, or to benchmark it for publication without our prior written consent.

3. Rights that cannot be excluded

Nothing in this EULA restricts actions that you are allowed to take under mandatory law, in particular Articles 5 and 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC and Sections 66 and 66a of the Czech Copyright Act (Act No. 121/2000 Coll.). These include observing, studying and testing how the App works, and decompiling it to the extent indispensable to achieve the interoperability of an independently created program, under the conditions those provisions set.

4. Open-source components

The App includes open-source software licensed by its authors under their own licences. Those licences, not this EULA, govern your use of those components, and nothing in this EULA restricts the rights they give you. The components include:

For components under the GNU Lesser General Public License, you may modify the component, replace it with a modified version for your own use, and reverse engineer the App to the extent necessary to debug such modifications. On request, we will provide the corresponding source code of those components, as that licence requires.

"WireGuard" is a registered trademark of its owner. The name is used in this EULA only to describe the protocol the App uses and does not imply endorsement.

5. System components and permissions

To create an encrypted tunnel, the App installs and runs components with elevated system privileges, and changes your device's network settings while it is in use:

  • on Windows, a background service and a virtual network adapter driver;
  • on macOS, a network system extension, which you must approve in System Settings;
  • on Linux, a system service and a virtual network interface;
  • on iOS and Android, the operating system's VPN configuration, which you must approve.

While the VPN is on, the App changes routing and DNS settings. When Kill Switch is on, it also adds firewall rules that block internet traffic outside the tunnel, including access to local network devices, so your connection may be blocked if the tunnel drops. These changes are reversed when you disconnect, turn Kill Switch off, or uninstall the App. Installing the App may require administrator rights. By installing it, you confirm that you are allowed to make these changes on the device.

6. Updates

We may provide updates that fix errors, improve security, or add, change or remove features. As a consumer, you are entitled to the updates, including security updates, that are needed to keep the App in conformity with the contract for as long as you have an active subscription, and otherwise for a period you can reasonably expect. You are responsible for installing them, and we are not liable for a lack of conformity that results only from your failure to install an update we provided with installation instructions. Some updates may be required to keep connecting to the VPN service, for example when our servers' security protocols change. Updates are governed by this EULA unless they come with different terms.

7. Data processed by the App

The App does not record your browsing, DNS requests or traffic. To provide the VPN, it generates cryptographic keys on your device and a random device identifier, and it sends the technical data described in our Privacy Policy at https://lock-wheel-vpn.com/privacy, such as connection telemetry and, with your consent, usage analytics. Diagnostic logs stay on your device unless you choose to share them.

8. Ownership

EVRIUS s.r.o. and its licensors own all rights in the App, including copyright, trademarks (such as the Lock Wheel VPN name and logo) and trade secrets. This EULA gives you only the rights expressly stated in it, and we reserve all other rights.

9. Term and termination

This EULA applies from when you first install or use the App until it is terminated. You may terminate it at any time by uninstalling the App and deleting all copies. We may terminate it if you seriously breach it and, where the breach can be remedied, you do not remedy it within a reasonable time after our notice. It also ends if we stop providing the VPN service, as described in the Terms. When this EULA ends, you must stop using the App and uninstall it. Sections 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 13 and 14 survive termination.

Ending this EULA does not by itself cancel a subscription, which you manage as described in the Terms.

10. Warranty

If you are a consumer, you have the statutory rights described in the Terms if the App does not conform to the contract. These rights are not affected by this section.

Subject to those rights and to the extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, that it will work with every device, operating system version, network or other software, or that it will meet requirements of yours that go beyond its description. You are responsible for backing up your data before installing the App.

11. Liability

Our liability in connection with the App is governed by the liability section of the Terms, which applies to this EULA as well. In particular, nothing in this EULA limits liability for harm caused intentionally or by gross negligence, for death or injury to a person, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Export control and sanctions

The App contains encryption technology and may be subject to export control and sanctions laws, including Regulation (EU) 2021/821 on dual-use items and EU restrictive measures, as well as the laws of other countries that apply to you. You must not download, use, export or re-export the App in breach of those laws, including to a country, organisation or person subject to sanctions or an embargo that apply to you or to us. By installing the App, you confirm that you are not such a person and that no such law prohibits you from using it.

13. Apps obtained from an app store

If you obtain the App from an app store, the following also applies:

  • This EULA is between you and EVRIUS s.r.o. only, not the operator of the app store (the "Store Operator"). EVRIUS s.r.o., not the Store Operator, is solely responsible for the App and its content.
  • Your licence is also limited to use on devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Store Operator's usage rules. If those rules conflict with this EULA, those rules prevail for the conflicting point.
  • The Store Operator has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Please contact us at contact@evrius.com.
  • If the App does not conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify the Store Operator, which may refund the purchase price of the App, if any. To the extent permitted by law, the Store Operator has no other warranty obligation for the App.
  • EVRIUS s.r.o., not the Store Operator, is responsible for handling any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, and claims that the App infringes a third party's intellectual property rights.
  • The Store Operator and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it against you.

14. Governing law and disputes

This EULA is governed by the law of the Czech Republic, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer living in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the law of that country. Jurisdiction and out-of-court resolution of disputes are governed by the governing law and disputes section of the Terms.

15. General provisions

  • If any provision of this EULA is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in force, and the invalid provision is replaced by a valid one that comes closest to its purpose.
  • If we do not enforce a right immediately, we do not waive it.
  • You may not transfer this EULA or your rights under it. We may transfer it to a successor of our business, provided this does not reduce your rights.
  • We may change this EULA in the same way and with the same notice as the Terms.
